Digital Marketing Specialist | Social Media


Youth Villages is seeking a digital marketing coordinator to join our Digital Communications team. This role will lead and support digital campaigns that build brand awareness and engage new audiences. While this position will serve as the digital lead for recruitment-focused marketing, it will also support other key projects within the Communications department. The coordinator will develop and execute strategies across social media and digital platforms, manage timelines through our project management system, and track performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Digital Marketing Specialist | Social Media:

  • Manages and grows Youth Villages social media presence, with a focus on culture and brand awareness

  • Plans, coordinates, and executes digital marketing campaigns that support key programs and initiatives

  • Creates and schedules engaging content for social media; monitor platform engagement and respond to comments and messages in a timely, appropriate manner

  • Collaborates with recruiting and other teams to align digital efforts with organizational goals

  • Coordinates the digital marketing calendar and ensures campaigns stay on schedule

  • Uses our project management system (Wrike) to manage multiple projects, timelines, deliverables, and team collaboration

  • Develops and implements strategies to grow engagement and improve campaign performance

  • Manages Youth Villages online reputation on platforms such as Glassdoor and Indeed

  • Monitors and analyzes digital marketing performance, adjusting strategies based on insights and best practices

  • Is available for occasional evening or weekend work to support events or live social media coverage

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, analytics, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on social media or recruitment marketing, preferred.

  • Proficiency in Canva or similar tools for social media design.

  • Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics platforms.

  • Proficiency in project management software (Wrike or similar tools preferred)

  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Experience managing digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.

  • Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across departments.

  • Solid understanding of social media best practices, including trends, engagement, and performance tracking.

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
