Job Description

This is a remote position.

Info Arab Media FZ-LLC / Al Mashhad is seeking a Digital Media Producer/Business to join our Digital Team ABROAD. The Digital Media Producer is responsible of writing, developing, editing, and publishing journalistic content for a variety of digital platforms, including website, VOD platform, videos, social media posts, infographics, and more.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in journalism, media, or relevant field.

At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field.

Demonstrable editorial judgement.

Experience of optimizing content for SEO.

Creativity and flair as well as excellent Arabic writing skills.

Demonstrated experience in writing articles and scripts for visual stories (videos and infographics).

Knowledge of online production and content management systems.

Knowledge of and interest in Arab affairs along with a broad knowledge of international affairs, including news sources, social media, and the major issues.

Key Accountabilities

The selected candidate is expected to perform the following tasks:

• Ensure that all output is of the highest possible standard.
• Generate story ideas and research them - online, on the phone, in print or in person.
• Produce distinctive content for website, VOD platform, and social media.
• Write and produce multi media news, background analysis and features.
• Discover, develop, and publish breaking news.
• Research, report and produce stories in forms of text (articles), infographics and videos.
• Source and edit pictures and videos in collaboration with the editorial and creative teams.
• Cover live events in various formats across multiple platforms.
• Prepare and conduct interviews (by email, on the phone, or face to face).
• Write short, meaningful, and interesting headlines and captions.
• Work as part of a Newsroom team - which may include other Broadcast Journalists, along with producers, and reporters who find and write the stories which make it to air.
• Devise original and imaginative angles to major stories and work closely with social media producer.
• Package various forms of the same story to supply the various platforms and outlets.
• Stay attuned to emerging trends, viral stories, and current events to identify compelling topics for coverage.
