Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Child Services

Metro Children Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide in-home support for a 1-year-old child in the Bronx, NY. In this role, the DSP will work one-on-one with the child to support early development, daily routines, and age-appropriate skill-building activities. Responsibilities include following an individualized service plan, engaging the child in play-based learning, supporting feeding and basic care routines, encouraging developmental milestones, documenting progress notes, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors and the care team.

This position is ideal for individuals with experience in childcare, early intervention, human services, or healthcare who are passionate about supporting young children during critical developmental stages. We are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, reliable, and attentive to the needs of infants and toddlers.

This is a part-time, in-person position with flexible scheduling that may include daytime, afternoon, or early evening hours based on family needs. Pay is $20 per hour.
