Shifts Needed:
- Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
- Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care and autism support
- Utilize assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer techniques
- Observe and document patient condition, behavior, and progress while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed
- Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive care
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
- Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and vital signs measurement
- Experience with crisis situations.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care planning processes
- Background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism preferred
- Demonstrated ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility needs
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with residents of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Previous experience in social work or long-term care settings is a plus
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Reliable personal vehicle with a valid driver’s license
- Good driving record and ability to transport individuals safely when required
- Clean background check, including clearance through the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR)
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to accurately complete required documentation in a timely manner
- Willingness to complete all state-required training, including abuse/neglect prevention, HIPAA, and health & safety training
