Airvet’s mission is to make pet care accessible and stress-free. Our platform extends that mission into the employee benefits space, helping employers support their workforce with modern, engaging, and affordable veterinary benefits. We’re a fast-growing, early-stage startup backed by top investors, and we’re looking for leaders who thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Director, Benefit Consultant to build, deepen, and scale our relationships with the leading benefits consultants and brokers in the market. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for consultant partnerships, drive deal activity, and ensure alignment between consultants’ client needs and Airvet’s solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product to shape our go-to-market strategy, generate a measurable pipeline, and deliver meaningful revenue impact.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Benefit Consultant, Broker & Strategic Partner Identification: Develop a comprehensive growth strategy by identifying, assessing, and targeting benefit consultants and brokers who align with Airvet’s mission and values.

  • Relationship Building: Establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders at brokerage and consultant firms. Expect to call, meet, attend events, and host Lunch & Learns to create awareness and trust. Our focus will start at the local office and individual consultant level, where just a few champions can make a major impact.

  • Lead Generation & Revenue Growth: Generate qualified sales opportunities through consultant relationships and partner with Sales leadership to drive pipeline and closed deals. Your performance will be measured on the volume and quality of opportunities created through channel activity.

  • Partner Enablement: Collaborate with Marketing to create partner-facing collateral, proposals, training, and sales tools. Develop processes and provide guidance to make consultants successful advocates for Airvet.

  • Deal Management: Collaborate with the Sales Regional Vice Presidents to manage consultant-led deals and lead the RFP process for consultant-driven opportunities.

  • Performance Tracking: Define and track KPIs to measure the success of consultant relationships, regularly report on performance, and make data-driven recommendations to improve outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, and Product) to align consultant initiatives with company goals and ensure smooth execution.

  • Industry Presence: Stay informed on trends in benefits consulting and represent Airvet at industry events to strengthen relationships and expand partnerships.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?

  • 8+ years of experience managing consultant, broker, or channel partnerships (WTW, Mercer, Gallagher, Aon, Lockton, Alliant, etc.), ideally in the health, wellness, or benefits space.
  • Proven track record of building partnerships that consistently drive measurable revenue.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed quota and sales targets through channel or consultant-driven opportunities.
  • Early-stage (<50 employees) startup experience is a must, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder who’s comfortable making calls, attending events, and engaging directly with consultants at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker who can design programs, but is equally willing to roll up their sleeves and execute.
  • Passion for transforming the benefits industry and creating innovative solutions for employers and employees.
