Position Summary:
The Director of Accounting reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees the accounting operations for all Victor programs, including financial reporting, payroll and accounts payable.
Responsibilities:
- Provides effective supervision, coaching and leadership to supervisors and staff including the Payroll Manager, Accounting Supervisor and the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
- Ensures that all Agency policies and procedures are followed within the fiscal
- Provides leadership that facilitates an engaged, empowered workforce that operates in alignment with the agency’s values and provides the highest levels of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensures that the accounting functions are fully staffed and cross-trained to manage potential vacancies and risks.
- In collaboration with the CFO and Director of Financial Analysis, ensures compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory and contractual reporting This includes annual regulatory reports, county cost reports and requests from governmental sources.
- Assists the CFO with tasks and projects as assigned.
Essential Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a minimum of seven years of supervisory experience and ten years of accounting
- Must possess a valid California driver's license, personal auto insurance and driving record that meets the standards outlined in the Agency’s Personnel Policy; Motor Vehicle Operating
- Must be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the Agency’s Personnel Policy; Physical Fitness Standards and Examinations and must be willing to complete a Tuberculosis (TB) and drug screening test.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $109,803 - $150,966 DOE
