Purpose of Role


At ISP, everyone is a learner. As a Regional Learning Director, you lead by example and model learning and a growth mindset, demonstrating a desire to learn and build on your knowledge, skills and understanding in leading your own learning and the learning of others. As the Regional Learning Director, India, you are critical to the implementation and success of all elements included in the ISP Learning and Innovation Strategy and are accountable for delivering the key goals of Embedding Quality and Academic Achievement across ISP schools in India.

Key Responsibilities


Overarching Responsibilities

  • You consistently model that students come first.
  • You drive and promote ISP’s Learning First Framework across all schools.
  • You ensure Senior Leaders communicate ISP’s purpose and use the Framework to enhance student and adult learning.
  • You foster ongoing dialogue that drives student learning improvement.
  • You model and reinforce ISP’s Shared Ideas and learning language across India.
  • You identify and highlight examples of excellent and Amazing Learning.
  • You share strong learning evidence across teams to drive improvement and promote ISP’s learning impact.
  • You lead the Future Pathways team to ensure consistent career and university guidance for students.


Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and sustain high-value partnerships across schools and regions to strengthen collaboration and leadership impact.
  • Embed ISP Principles through trust-based relationships and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Lead external collaborations with global learning partners to drive innovation and outcomes.


Learning Improvement Leadership

  • Implement the ISP Learning Improvement Process and self-evaluation across the 9 Criteria and 47 Indicators.
  • Use evidence-based insights to ensure learning quality, consistency, and continuous progress.
  • Guide school leaders through data-driven goal setting and improvement strategies.
  • Pedagogical Excellence & Leadership Development
  • Coach Senior Leaders to apply real-time learning evidence that elevates classroom practice.
  • Ensure consistent teacher development through Learning Design, Learning Inquiries, and Learning Visits.
  • Maintain robust learning data systems to support strategic decision-making.


Evidence of Learning & Performance Insight

  • Lead national evaluation and reporting of Learning KPIs across ISP schools in India.
  • Translate learning data into actionable insights, driving accountability and measurable improvement.
  • Support leaders in leveraging evidence to shape priorities and invest in growth areas.


Talent Development & Learning Culture

  • Promote leadership and professional learning through the ISP Learning Hub and related programmes.
  • Partner with central teams to enhance teaching standards and embed digital learning initiatives.
  • Provide feedback that strengthens the overall quality and impact of teacher development.


Learning Innovation & Offer Expansion

  • Lead implementation of the ISP Learning & Innovation Strategy to enhance school offerings.
  • Monitor progress on the 5 core ISP offerings, ensuring alignment with global learning standards.
  • Collaborate with central and external partners to deliver impactful education programmes.


Onboarding & School Integration

  • Represent ISP’s ethos by mentoring new Heads and leaders for seamless onboarding.
  • Assess new schools’ performance and leadership readiness within the first 90 days.
  • Drive early adoption of the Learning First Framework and cultivate a culture of excellence.


Future Pathways & Student Progression

  • Set strategic direction for Future Pathways, ensuring strong career and university guidance.
  • Oversee alumni engagement, post-secondary partnerships, and data tracking for student outcomes.
  • Evaluate and enhance career guidance frameworks to prepare students for global opportunities.
