Description:

We are seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Director of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing function across our civil engineering and software development business lines. This executive-level role is responsible for building a high-performance marketing strategy that strengthens brand authority, drives measurable revenue growth, and positions the firm as an industry leader.

The Director of Marketing will oversee digital strategy, brand development, thought leadership, public sector marketing, and business development support—while translating complex engineering and technical solutions into compelling narratives that resonate with clients, partners, and top-tier talent.

This role reports to executive leadership and serves as a key contributor to company-wide growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with corporate growth objectives across civil engineering and software services
  • Establish marketing KPIs tied to revenue, pipeline growth, brand visibility, and recruitment
  • Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, market expansion, and positioning initiatives
  • Build, mentor, and manage internal marketing resources and external partners
  • Oversee marketing budget planning, allocation, and ROI reporting
  • Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistency and excellence across all touchpoints

Digital & Social Media Strategy (Core Growth Channel)

  • Lead the firm’s digital presence with emphasis on high-impact B2B engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, X (Twitter), and emerging platforms
  • Develop executive-level thought leadership strategies highlighting innovation in infrastructure, civil engineering, and technology solutions

Oversee content strategy including:

  • Major project storytelling and case studies
  • Technical insights and industry education
  • Product/software solution positioning
  • Awards, recognition, and public sector achievements
  • Employer branding and talent acquisition campaigns
  • Translate complex engineering systems, data platforms, and software tools into accessible, compelling messaging
  • Monitor analytics and optimize performance based on engagement, conversion, and lead generation metrics
  • Track industry trends across AEC, GovTech, and infrastructure technology markets

Website & Digital Experience Leadership

  • Own the company website ecosystem as a primary marketing, recruiting, and business development engine
  • Lead strategy for UX, SEO, technical performance, and conversion optimization
  • Align website architecture to support both professional services (civil engineering) and SaaS/software offerings
  • Oversee content development, landing pages, product/service positioning, and lead capture systems
  • Manage CMS strategy, analytics dashboards, and continuous performance improvements
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure scalable digital infrastructure

Brand Development & Market Positioning

  • Elevate brand positioning across public infrastructure, municipal services, and technology innovation markets
  • Define differentiated messaging that communicates both engineering expertise and digital capabilities
  • Ensure consistent visual identity, tone, and messaging across all proposals, campaigns, and digital assets
  • Lead development of high-impact marketing collateral, presentations, and executive messaging

Public Sector & Business Development Support

  • Provide strategic oversight for Statements of Qualifications (SOQs), RFP responses, and public agency submissions
  • Align marketing materials with company vision, compliance standards, and operational SOPs
  • Collaborate closely with business development and project leadership to strengthen win strategies
  • Develop digital assets and storytelling that support long-term public agency relationships
Requirements:


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Background in civil engineering, construction, architecture, infrastructure technology, SaaS, or related professional services
  • Demonstrated success building and executing B2B growth marketing strategies
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring ROI
  • Strong expertise in CMS platforms, SEO, analytics, and marketing performance tools
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration with technical and executive teams
  • Exceptional storytelling ability—translating complex engineering and software concepts into market-facing value propositions
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
