Director of Marketing – Truck Equipment (Dakota Bodies & CM Truck Beds)

What’s the Role?

The Director of Marketing will lead strategic marketing efforts supporting Dakota Bodies and CM Truck Beds, two core brands within ATW Truck Equipment Group. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for building brand strength, driving demand generation, and supporting dealer/distribution growth across North America.

This position brings strategy, structure, and accountability to all marketing initiatives while partnering closely with Sales, Product, Distribution, and Operations teams. The Director will play a critical role in accelerating growth across dealer networks, upfitters, and end-user segments (contractors, fleets, municipalities, etc.).

We are seeking a proactive, data-driven marketing leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment and has a proven ability to translate business objectives into measurable marketing outcomes.

What Will I Be Doing?

Strategic Leadership & Brand Growth

  • Lead marketing strategy and execution for Dakota Bodies and CM Truck Beds across dealer, distributor, and end-user channels
  • Define brand positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Serve as a key marketing partner to Sales leadership to drive revenue, lead generation, and market expansion

Demand Generation & Channel Support

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, field, dealer, and events) to generate qualified leads and drive sell-through
  • Support dealer/distributor networks with co-op marketing programs, toolkits, and localized campaigns
  • Partner with regional sales teams to strengthen market penetration and customer acquisition

Product & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Lead product launch strategies for new truck bodies and equipment lines
  • Collaborate with Product Management to translate technical features into compelling customer value propositions
  • Ensure alignment across marketing, sales, and operations for successful product rollouts

Digital & Data-Driven Marketing

  • Own CRM and marketing automation strategy (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to improve lead management and pipeline visibility
  • Leverage analytics to track campaign performance, optimize ROI, and inform decision-making
  • Enhance digital presence including websites, SEO/SEM, listings, and reputation management

Dealer & Field Marketing

  • Develop merchandising, point-of-sale (POS), and in-store branding strategies
  • Support trade shows, industry events, and field marketing initiatives
  • Strengthen relationships with key dealers, distributors, and partners

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Supply Chain, and Operations
  • Manage external agencies and vendors to deliver high-quality creative and campaigns

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 7–10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership roles
  • Proven success in B2B or B2B2C marketing (manufacturing, automotive, or durable goods preferred)
  • Experience supporting dealer/distributor networks or multi-channel sales models
  • Strong background in integrated marketing, demand generation, and brand management
  • Demonstrated ability to use data, analytics, and CRM systems to drive results
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed (trade shows, dealer visits, internal meetings)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in truck equipment, trailers, automotive aftermarket, or industrial sectors
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, paid media, email, content)
  • Experience managing product launches and technical product marketing
  • Familiarity with dealer co-op programs and channel marketing strategies
