Job Description


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations to join our leadership team at one of Istanbul’s luxury hotel. As a key member of the executive management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational functions of the hotel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience, operational excellence, and alignment with the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

  • Develop and implement strategic operational plans in alignment with the hotel’s overall business objectives and luxury brand standards
  • Lead with a luxury service mindset, fostering a culture of excellence, attention to detail, and personalized service across all guest touchpoints
  • Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and feedback, and implement initiatives to continuously enhance the guest journey
  • Collaborate closely with executive team members and department heads to drive service innovation and exceed guest expectations
  • Analyze operational data and financial reports to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost control, and service improvement
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational effectiveness and accountability
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire department managers and staff, promoting a high-performance, guest-centric culture
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including VIP guests, partners, vendors, and service providers
  • Identify and implement technologies and process improvements to optimize operations and enhance the luxury guest experience
  • Lead and manage operational budgets, ensuring responsible and strategic resource allocation
  • Drive cross-functional projects that contribute to business growth, operational excellence, and competitive advantage in the luxury hospitality market

Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the luxury hospitality sector, with at least 3 years in a senior operational leadership role (preferably in a 5-star or iconic property)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest experiences in a luxury environment
  • Strong financial acumen and expertise in operational budgeting and cost management
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in other languages is an asset
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for service excellence
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and guest-driven environment
