Director of Operations

Job Summary:-

Mobco Group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Operations Director to lead and oversee large-scale construction operations across multiple mega projects within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineer with over 25 years of progressive leadership experience, particularly in high-rise and mega construction projects, capable of managing large multidisciplinary teams and driving operational excellence.

The Operations Director will be responsible for overseeing project execution, operational planning, resource allocation, cost control, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead and oversee all operational activities across multiple mega and high-rise construction projects
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals and business objectives
• Manage large multidisciplinary teams, including Project Directors, Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff
• Ensure project delivery within budget, timeline, and quality standards
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions where necessary
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
• Oversee resource planning, manpower allocation, and operational efficiency across projects
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Lead risk management and mitigation strategies across all operations
• Review and approve project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
• Support business development and tendering teams for new mega project opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
• Ensure adherence to Saudi regulatory requirements and local authority approvals
• Report directly to senior management and provide regular operational updates

Requirements & Qualifications :-

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree preferred)
• Degree from a reputable and recognized university
• Minimum 25+ years of experience in construction industry
• Proven experience in managing mega projects and high-rise developments
• Strong leadership experience managing large teams (500+ workforce preferred)
• Extensive experience working in the Saudi Arabia construction market
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, authorities, and market practices in KSA
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong financial and commercial acumen
• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Arabic speaking (Mandatory)
• Fluent in English (Preferred)

Preferred Experience:-

• Experience working with Tier-1 contractors
• Experience in hospitality, mixed-use, and high-rise developments
• Experience working on giga and mega projects (NEOM, Red Sea, Qiddiya, KAFD, etc.)
• Strong background in project controls and operational planning
• Experience in implementing operational systems and processes
• Knowledge of contract management (FIDIC preferred)
• Experience in value engineering and cost optimization
