Director of Product Engineering & R&D

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Head of Product and Industrial Designer to lead our engineering-driven design and R&D function. This is a purely technical and engineering leadership role, responsible for translating business strategy into manufacturable, high-performance product designs. This position is not related to graphic or visual design.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership to the Design and R&D functions.

• Lead multidisciplinary teams of design engineers and R&D specialists.

• Own the end-to-end engineering design process from concept to production.

• Drive innovation in materials, construction methods, and production technologies.

• Oversee use of IMOS or similar engineering/design software.

• Collaborate with production, sales, marketing, and operations teams.

• Establish and enforce engineering design standards and quality benchmarks.

• Monitor global trends in manufacturing, materials, and industrial design.

Candidate Profile (Mandatory Requirements)

• Minimum 18+ years of experience in engineering design within a manufacturing organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgy, or Civil).

• Strong background in technical design, R&D, and manufacturing coordination.

• Proven leadership experience heading engineering or design teams.

• Hands-on understanding of materials and production processes.
