Director of Roofing Excellence

The Director of Roofing Excellence is responsible for leading the day-to-day field operations of our Quality Control and Superintendent team to ensure every Paradigm Roof + Shield project meets our exacting standards of technical roofing excellence. This individual will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and installation crews to uphold workmanship, safety, and consistency across all roofing systems—residential and commercial.

This role requires a seasoned roofing professional with deep technical expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to identify and correct quality control issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of a team of roofing superintendents overseeing multiple active projects.

• Ensure field excellence by regularly visiting job sites to inspect installation practices, safety adherence, and craftsmanship standards.

• Manage and diffuse quality control issues, proactively resolving on-site challenges and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Perform advanced leak detection and diagnostic assessments across multiple roofing systems, including:

• Asphalt shingles (architectural, designer, etc.)

• Standing-seam and other metal roof systems

• Clay, concrete, and composite tile (including Brava)

• TPO and commercial flat-roof platforms

• Collaborate with project managers and installers to maintain consistent standards and reduce callbacks.

• Train and mentor field staff on best practices, technical details, and manufacturer installation requirements.

• Oversee warranty inspections and corrective work, ensuring all jobs meet or exceed manufacturer and company specifications.

• Report field findings and develop action plans for continuous improvement in installation quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of professional roofing experience, including both residential and commercial systems.

• Proven ability to lead and develop a field team of superintendents, foremen, or installers.

• Deep technical knowledge of roofing systems, including asphalt shingles, metal, tile, composite, and TPO.

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for leak detection and system troubleshooting.

• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between job sites daily.

Job Type: Full-time

Projected Total Compensation: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
