Position Overview


Rosewood Red Sea, part of the ultra-luxury Red Sea Global destination, is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Rooms to join our pre-opening leadership team. This pivotal role will oversee all Rooms Division operations—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, and Guest Relations—ensuring the delivery of Rosewood’s legendary standards of rare hospitality.
The successful candidate will play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences, driving operational excellence, and building a strong service culture aligned with Rosewood’s philosophy of A Sense of Place.


Key Responsibilities


  • Direct and oversee the Rooms Division, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge, and related departments.
  • Ensure seamless daily operations, with an uncompromising focus on service excellence, personalization, and guest satisfaction.
  • Establish SOPs and quality standards in line with Rosewood brand guidelines and Red Sea Global requirements.
  • Champion the guest journey from arrival to departure, ensuring every touchpoint reflects Rosewood’s ethos of intuitive, personalized luxury.
  • Proactively anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns with empathy, and elevate service standards to exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to design experiences that create memorable stays.
  • Lead pre-opening planning and execution for the Rooms Division, including recruitment, training, policy development, and system implementation.
  • Drive readiness of guest-facing operations, ensuring flawless opening day experiences and smooth transitions from pre-opening to steady operations.
  • Partner with technical and project teams on snagging, system testing, and handover of guest areas.
  • Recruit, train, and inspire a multicultural team, fostering a culture of accountability, empowerment, and service excellence.
  • Implement career development programs, succession planning, and mentorship initiatives to nurture future leaders.
  • Lead by example, embodying Rosewood values and motivating associates to deliver their very best.
  • Develop and manage Rooms Division budgets, ensuring cost controls, labor efficiency, and revenue optimization.
  • Partner with Revenue Management and Sales & Marketing to enhance room profitability, maximize occupancy, and improve ADR and RevPAR.
  • Monitor guest feedback, market trends, and competitor performance to refine strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Build strong partnerships with Red Sea Global, Rosewood corporate teams, and property leadership to align on goals, standards, and strategies.
  • Support owner relations and reporting, ensuring transparency and trust in all operational matters.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and community engagement in line with Red Sea Global’s vision for regenerative tourism.

Qualifications


  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of progressive Rooms Division experience within luxury hotels or resorts, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong pre-opening experience within ultra-luxury hospitality is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Experience operations.
  • Proven record of delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and performance KPIs.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage.

Located along Saudi Arabia's west coast on the Shura Island, the new Rosewood hotel and residences will be part of The Red Sea destination. Poised to be one of Saudi Arabia's top cultural and lifestyle hubs, the development is comprised of a stunning marina offering a yacht club, commercial retail and dining options, as well as an 18-hole championship golf course. The development will boast 149 guest rooms and suites, alongside elevated dining offerings including three restaurants, two lounges, a signature Manor Club and a central hub featuring authentic eateries.
