About the Role

As the Director of Strategic Sourcing at Z Modular, you will play a key role in shaping and executing procurement strategies that drive cost savings, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure alignment with operational and financial goals across Z Modular. This position requires strong leadership, advanced negotiation skills, and deep supply chain expertise in manufacturing or construction. You will directly impact profitability and operational excellence by leading national-level sourcing strategies, building preferred supplier networks, and implementing standardized procurement processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners - including operations, engineering, project management, and finance - ensuring sourcing decisions support production needs and business objectives.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly strategic, and brings a proven track record of negotiating complex contracts while driving organizational efficiency and cost improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Develops and executes sourcing strategies for key categories, including construction materials, MRO supplies, and capital equipment.

• Establishes and manages a national preferred supplier network to support operational growth.

• Leads vendor evaluation, onboarding, and performance management processes.

• Identifies cost-saving opportunities through volume leverage, alternate sourcing, and process improvements.

• Negotiates and manages national-level supplier, subcontractor, and service provider contracts.

• Ensures contracts are compliant, enforceable, and aligned with legal and corporate policies.

• Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing activities with production and financial objectives.

• Oversees supplier data integrity, spend analytics, and category performance dashboards.

• Implements standardized procurement processes across all plants and project sites.

• Drives a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cost awareness across the procurement function.

Who You Are

• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing or modular construction.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CPM/CPSM certification preferred).

• Proven track record of negotiating high-value, multi-location contracts.

• Strong understanding of cost drivers, logistics, and supplier market dynamics.

• Proficient in ERP/procurement systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Yardi, Coupa).

• Exceptional communication, analytical, and relationship management skills.

• Ability to travel nationally up to 20–30%.
