Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the efficient movement of freight and shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal fleet utilization. Your expertise in transportation management systems, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), GPS technology, and supply chain logistics will drive seamless communication between drivers, carriers, and clients. Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatching of freight and shipments
• Utilize GPS and GIS tools to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and respond swiftly to any logistical issues or delays.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and clients via multi-line phone systems while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
• Manage shipping & receiving schedules, coordinating with 3PL (third-party logistics) providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with fleet management tasks including vehicle scheduling, maintenance coordination, and compliance monitoring.
• Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks and recommend improvements for supply chain optimization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics operations in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and fleet management software.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems professionally.
• Strong analysis skills for interpreting data related to freight movements, shipping & receiving logs, and supply chain metrics.
• Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, and maintaining detailed records within transportation management platforms.
