A tow truck dispatcher plays a crucial role in coordinating towing services and ensuring efficient operation within the towing company.
Job Overview
The Tow Truck Dispatcher is responsible for managing and coordinating towing operations and ensuring timely dispatch of tow trucks. The dispatcher acts as a liaison between customers and wrecker drivers. Maintaining clear communication and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming calls for towing services and assess the needs of the customer.
- Dispatch tow trucks to the specified locations based on priority and availability.
- Maintain communication with customers to provide updates.
- Use computer software to track tow truck locations and manage schedules effectively.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of calls using computer software.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and roadside assistance services as needed.
-Fleet registration, upkeeping fleet maintenance, apportioned tag registration, DOT compliance, create permits
-Work front counter and take customers to 2nd yard to release vehicles, help answer office phone
-Oversee gas station and pre-trips
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in dispatching or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computers and relevant software applications.
Skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage emergency situations.
- Customer-focused with a friendly demeanor.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced office environment.
- required extended hours, including nights and weekends.
Pay is based on experience and/or ability to learn
starting off you will only answer the phone M-F 8am-5pm
Training will be provided for the first month after your training pay will be increased and you will be expected to answer the phone 24/7
We are looking for 2 individuals that can work Sun-Wed (1/2 day) and Wed (1/2 day) - Sat
The phone only rings a few times during the night and not much on the weekends.

Pay: $500.00 - $1,000.00 per week
