Dispatcher Day Shift Dry Bulk

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery to our customers in the Non-Haz/Bulk industry. You coordinate logistics, communicate with drivers and customers, and maintain accurate records. A Dispatcher needs to be highly detailed and work well under pressure to coordinate many changing factors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of Bulk trucks to ensure timely delivery to customer locations.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to provide them with clear instructions, pickup/drop-off locations, and any special requirements.
• Analytical skills to problem-solve, resolve, and coordinate difficult situations in a calm and professional manner
• Knowledge of safety regulations and laws
• Enable prompt delivery
• Technology skills, particularly in transportation management software
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills to clearly relay information to all involved parties
• Ability to stay calm in fast-paced situations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics.
• Experience in customer service will be appreciated
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and requirements.
• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Exhibit exceptional attendance and punctuality.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands.

Minimum Qualification Standards:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Close mental and visual attention is required. Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists on a computer.

Physical Exertion:

• Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
