Job Summary:

The Logistics Dispatcher is the vital nerve center of our transportation operations. You will be responsible for the real-time coordination of drivers, equipment, and loads to ensure timely pickups and deliveries while maximizing efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and is a proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, assign, & schedule daily loads for a fleet of company drivers and owner-operators.
• Create efficient routes considering appointment times, driver hours-of-service (HOS), traffic, and mileage.
• Execute same-day dispatch requests and manage urgent changes.
• Continuously monitor driver progress using GPS tracking software and proactively manage delays.
• Communicate dispatch instructions and load details clearly and accurately to drivers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers throughout their shift.
• Track and manage equipment (containers, chassis) to ensure optimal utilization and timely returns.
• Coordinate the repair and maintenance of trucks as needed.
• Work closely with Customer Service (CS) representatives to understand customer requirements and resolve operational issues.
• Update customers and internal teams on load status and ETAs.
• Ensure all load documentation is accurately completed and distributed.
• Report detention, layover, and other accessorial charges promptly.
• Ensure dispatch activities comply with company policies and DOT regulations.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years in dispatch, logistics, or transportation role (Intermodal, Drayage experience highly preferred).
• Familiarity with Hours of Service (HOS), load planning, DOT regulations, and freight terminology (LTL, FTL, detention, lumper fees).
• Ability to work US hours and commute to the office on daily basis.
• Understanding of geographic regions, major highways, and shipping lanes.
• Bilingual skills (Russian or other languages common among drivers) are a significant asset.
• Proficiency in TMS software, ELD systems, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional Communication: Clear, professional, and calm under pressure, both verbal and written.
• Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to proactively assess situations, anticipate issues, and implement effective solutions in real-time.
• Superior Organizational Skills: Manages multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
• Resilience & Adaptability: Thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure environment where plans can change frequently.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
