Dispatcher Office Assistant

Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and hard working person to join our team! We are a fast paced, high energy, family owned business. You will be responsible for receiving all initial incoming service requests and other calls; determining correct routing of calls; determining appropriate towing service needs and dispatching to tow operators. You will also be responsible in assisting the Supervisors and Dispatch Manager when necessary.

Scheduling

Rotating schedule of 12 hour shifts. Some day and night shifts. Some weekday and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls as quickly as possible while conveying a cheerful and competent attitude to all callers
• Call management (record call information, maintain details of each call, courteously update customers with call information and accurately enter and update calls in management system)
• Use GPS systems to monitor trucks/drivers
• Provide routing information to drivers
• Dispatch towing and road service calls to drivers in the most efficient and timely manner possible
• Communicate with customers concerning their vehicle status
• Serve as the primary link between customer and Company, always conveying a professional customer service ethic and philosophy
• The dispatcher must also work cooperatively with all other Dispatchers, Managers and Supervisors

Requirements

• Clear, pleasant, intelligible verbal skills and legible writing skills
• Strong multi-tasking ability and problem-solving skills
• General Computer knowledge and typing skills
• Basic math and algebra skills
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Able to show up and be on time
• Able to work as a team

Pay

• Starting pay is $15/hour*
• Bonus pay

*Training is $13 an hour. Starting pay after training is $15 an hour and increases with experience and job performance.
