Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer & Dispatcher to join our team. This role is responsible for managing customer communication, writing repair orders, coordinating towing requests, and dispatching drivers efficiently. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, communicating clearly with customers and technicians, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls for towing and repair service requests
• Dispatch tow truck drivers and roadside service technicians efficiently
• Communicate with customers regarding service status, ETAs, and repair updates
• Create and manage repair orders for automotive services
• Coordinate between customers, technicians, and tow operators
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Provide cost estimates for repair services when applicable
• Process payments and assist with invoicing
• Ensure excellent customer service
• Assist with scheduling repairs and prioritizing workload

Qualifications

• Previous experience in automotive service writing, dispatching, or towing operations preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
• Basic automotive knowledge or experience in auto repair industry preferred
• Strong organizational and computer skills
• Experience with dispatch or shop management software is a plus (Towbook, NapaTRACS)
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Typical shift: M-F 8am-5pm, option for additional hours
