District Coordinator

Background: Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P) runs one of the largest not-for-profit private healthcare systems in the country, with a focus on the regions of Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Its core focus includes initiatives for hard-to-reach populations through services like outreach clinics, training of community midwives to provide low-cost health services in remote areas, screening for non-communicable diseases, and digital health solutions.

Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent District Coordinator for Lower Chitral & Upper Chitral, under CASI Project.

Job Summary: The District Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring effective, timely, and high-quality implementation of Central Asia Stunting Initiative (CASI) Project activities at field level, in alignment with AKHSP standards and national nutrition guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise daily field activities related to nutrition under CASI project within District.
• Supervise and mentor field staff (LHVs, nutrition workers: LHWs, CHWs) ensuring accountability and performance management.
• Ensure implementation of project activities according to approved work plans and guidelines.
• Support Social-Behavioural Change and Communication (SBCC) community engagement and nutrition awareness activities.
• Coordinate with health facilities, local authorities, and community stakeholders for field implementation and referral cases.
• Coordinate meetings with local authorities/councils to share project plans, progress, and challenges.
• Support monitoring, data collection, documentation, and timely reporting.
• Ensure proper use of project supplies and materials and support compliance with organizational policies and standards.
• Promote community participation, safeguarding, and accountability affected populations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor/ master’s degree in public health, Social Sciences or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant field experience, experience in nutrition or health projects will be an advantage.
• Strong coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
