District Manager

Are You Ready to Lead and Elevate Operations Across an Entire District?
At SRM Concrete, we believe our people are the solid foundation of our success. We’re not just delivering concrete; we’re building communities, careers, and industry-leading operations across 23 states.
We are searching for a driven, tech-savvy, and operationally strong District Manager to lead multiple ready-mix plants and dispatch operations within a defined region. This is not just a management position — it’s a high-impact leadership role responsible for aligning people, performance, maintenance, customer relationships, and technology to drive excellence at every level.
You will serve as the crucial link between our operational strategy and field execution — leading plant managers, dispatch teams, maintenance efforts, and customer partnerships — while directly influencing safety, profitability, and service across your district.
Ready-mix concrete experience is preferred. However, candidates with strong construction or project management backgrounds will be considered if they demonstrate the leadership character, operational mindset, and cultural alignment that define SRM leaders.
If you are passionate about building high-performing teams, mastering operational details, and leading with integrity and accountability — we want to talk to you.

Your Mission: To Lead, Optimize, and Strengthen District Operations
As a District Manager, you will oversee the full operational rhythm of multiple locations, ensuring safety, quality, service, and profitability remain best-in-class.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Lead Multi-Plant Operations: Oversee daily production, dispatch, maintenance, and delivery functions across multiple ready-mix plants. Ensure operational efficiency, cost control, and consistent execution.
  • Master Dispatch & Logistics Strategy: Provide oversight and guidance to dispatch teams to ensure optimized scheduling, routing, communication, and on-time delivery. Balance customer needs with operational capacity in real time.
  • Drive Plant Maintenance Excellence: Ensure preventative maintenance programs are executed effectively. Oversee plant upkeep including welding, electrical, and plumbing systems to minimize downtime and protect operational continuity.
  • Champion Customer Success: Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Address concerns quickly, professionally, and with a solutions-oriented mindset that strengthens long-term partnerships.
  • Use Technology to Lead Smarter: Leverage dispatch systems, reporting tools, Microsoft Office, and operational software to analyze performance data, monitor KPIs, manage costs, and drive informed decision-making.
  • Build & Develop High-Performance Teams: Coach and mentor plant managers, supervisors, drivers, and dispatch personnel. Create a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Own Safety & Quality Standards: Embody and enforce SRM’s 5 Principles: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and being a Go-Getter. Ensure compliance with DOT, environmental, and company standards across the district.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Monitor budgets, material costs, labor efficiency, equipment utilization, and district profitability. Turn operational data into actionable improvements.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • Concrete / Ready Mix Experience (Preferred): Hands-on understanding of ready-mix operations, batching, delivery logistics, and plant functionality is strongly preferred.
  • Dispatch & Operational Leadership: Proven experience managing dispatch, logistics, or high-paced operations where coordination and timing are critical.
  • Maintenance Knowledge: Working knowledge of plant maintenance, including welding, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure. Ability to lead preventative maintenance efforts and oversee repairs.
  • Strong Customer Service Background: Experience building and maintaining client relationships, resolving challenges, and representing operations in a professional and solution-driven manner.
  • Tech-Savvy & Data-Driven: Comfortable using Microsoft Office, dispatch software, reporting systems, and digital tools to manage performance and communication.
  • Leadership with Character: 5+ years of leadership experience preferred. You lead with accountability, integrity, and consistency. You know how to build trust, set expectations, and hold teams to high standards.
  • Construction / Project Management Experience (Considered): Candidates with strong construction or project management backgrounds will be considered if they bring operational leadership ability and cultural alignment with SRM’s values.
