Job Purpose:
The In-House Doctor will be responsible for managing and maintaining the health and well-being of students, faculty, and staff within the school premises. This includes providing primary healthcare services, handling emergencies, conducting medical check-ups, and promoting preventive healthcare practices in compliance with school health policies.
Key Responsibilities:1. Primary Healthcare Services
- Diagnose and treat common illnesses, minor injuries, and other health concerns.
- Provide medical consultations for students and staff during school hours.
- Prescribe medications, ensuring correct dosages and safe administration.
2. Emergency Response & First Aid
- Act as the first responder for medical emergencies, including accidents, injuries, or sudden illness.
- Administer CPR and other life-saving measures when required.
- Coordinate with hospitals and arrange ambulance services for severe cases.
3. Preventive Health Care & Monitoring
- Conduct periodic health screenings for students and staff (vision, hearing, BMI, general health).
- Monitor and report any outbreaks of contagious diseases; implement preventive measures.
- Maintain stock of essential medicines and first aid supplies.
4. Health Education & Awareness Programs
- Organize health awareness sessions on topics like hygiene, nutrition, mental health, and first aid.
- Guide staff and students on preventive health practices and vaccination schedules.
5. Record Keeping & Documentation
- Maintain accurate health records for all students and employees.
- Document all treatments, prescriptions, and emergency interventions.
- Prepare monthly health reports for school management and regulatory compliance.
6. Collaboration & Policy Implementation
- Work closely with school administration to ensure a safe and healthy campus environment.
- Advise management on health-related policies, hygiene standards, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: MBBS degree from a recognized institution; valid PMDC (Pakistan Medical & Dental Council) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience; preference for pediatric or family medicine background.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong diagnostic skills for minor ailments and injuries.
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) and emergency care.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with children.
