Job Summary
The Doctor will be responsible for providing primary healthcare services to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment, managing medical emergencies, and promoting health awareness within the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular medical check-ups and health screenings for students and staff.
- Provide first aid and immediate medical care in case of illness, injury, or emergencies during school hours.
- Maintain and manage the school infirmary, including medicines, medical equipment, and hygiene standards.
- Keep accurate medical records of students and staff, including medical histories and treatment provided.
- Identify students with health issues and recommend further medical evaluation or referrals when required.
- Advise school management on health, safety, and hygiene policies and preventive healthcare measures.
- Conduct health awareness sessions on nutrition, personal hygiene, mental well-being, and disease prevention.
- Monitor and manage communicable diseases and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with parents, teachers, and administration regarding student health concerns.
- Support vaccination programs, medical camps, and annual health assessments as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- MBBS degree from a PMDC/PMC-recognized institution.
- Valid PMC registration.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant clinical experience (experience in school or pediatric healthcare preferred).
- Training in first aid, emergency response, and basic life support (BLS) will be an added advantage.
