Document Controller
Sharjah, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Document Controller to join our team! In this role you will get to perform a variety of document control functions for a project or department.
What You'll Be Doing:
Plans, organizes, and implements systems for efficient document processing of all communications, design documents, construction documents or other internal or external documents.
Coordinates the flow of documents between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or other department groups.
Will have knowledge of both the work processes of document control and also the use of electronic systems used to manage documentation - Aconex.
Implements document/data management solutions with a primary focus on document control and records management. Administers data/document management applications.
Processes one or more document types through all procedural steps in accordance with defined procedures and guidelines.
Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard document management programs to register documents, maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals, and other reports as required.
Provides assistance to users in capturing and locating electronic information.
Maintains an established data distribution system and schedule for the assigned project based upon client, project and department requirements.
Verifies retention requirements, arranges document cataloging, packing, and long-term storage or disposal of appropriate documents at time of closeout.
Delegates and directs the work activities of project document control team.
Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Must be graduate, plus 5+ years of related work experience, with at least 3 years in document controls (or an equivalent combination of formal education and work experience) in Construction or Engineering companies.
Proficiency in Aconex and MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Aconex. Assignments will require a working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems.
Knowledge in document control work processes and utilization of electronic systems for document management, as well as corporate procedures related to document management.
Good written and oral communication (English Language), organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
