The Document Controller is responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient, secure, and accurate system for managing all official project documents. This role ensures strict version control , proper archiving, and timely distribution of drawings, correspondence, and technical specifications across all project teams and external stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Document Management: Control the flow (receipt, issuance, distribution) of all project documentation, including engineering drawings, transmittals, reports, and correspondences.

  • Filing & Indexing: Maintain and update the physical and electronic filing system (DMS), ensuring all records are accurately cataloged, indexed, and easy to retrieve.

  • Version Control: Ensure the latest revision of any document is clearly identified and distributed, archiving superseded documents securely.

  • Transmittals: Prepare, issue, and track document transmittals to consultants, subcontractors, and clients.

  • Compliance: Ensure all documentation practices comply with company standards and project procedures.
