Role Overview:
Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related and administrative documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage all incoming and outgoing documents in both digital and physical formats.
- Ensure documents are filed, labeled, and stored according to company procedures.
- Track, update, and control document versions, revisions, and approvals.
- Distribute documents to relevant departments and ensure timely retrieval.
- Prepare, update, and maintain logs, registers, and documentation records.
- Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and clients for document submissions.
- Review documents for accuracy, formatting, and completeness.
- Support project teams by providing required documents on time.
- Manage document archiving and retrieval processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Document Controller or in an administrative role.
- Strong organizational and file-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with document control systems or DMS software (preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience in construction, engineering, oil & gas, or corporate environments.
- Knowledge of ISO documentation standards.
- Basic knowledge of administrative procedures and archiving systems.
