Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

We don’t hire often, but we’re currently looking to bring on the right person as we continue to grow.

This is a standard dog walking role with a clear path for advancement. For the right person, there is real opportunity here to grow into a Lead Dog Walker and even a Manager position within a year, based on work ethic, consistency, and client success.

We are a well-established dog walking company in Hoboken with a loyal client base. I’m the owner and operator, and I’ve spent the past 15 years working hands-on in this industry — in dog daycares, grooming salons, and as a dog walker. I understand what this work actually demands day to day, and I’ve built this business to create a strong experience not just for clients, but for the team as well.

About the role

• Walking small groups of dogs (typically 2 to 4 at a time)

• Following structured routes and schedules

• Providing safe, attentive, and engaged care

• Communicating updates through our app

What we’re looking for

• Experience with dogs is required (professional dog walking experience is a plus, but not necessary)

• Clean criminal background

• Good attitude and no excuses mindset

• Physically capable of walking several miles per day in all weather

• Open and flexible schedule, especially weekdays

• Reliable, punctual, and consistent

• Calm, confident presence with dogs

• Must live in Hoboken or within a 15-minute commute

Structure

All new team members begin as independent contractors during a 6 to 12 month onboarding period designed to build consistency, trust, and route familiarity.

Standards

This role is built on consistency. Our clients rely on us daily, and we take that seriously. This is not a fit for someone with a hectic schedule or constant outside obligations pulling them in multiple directions. We’re looking for someone with availability, focus, and the intention to build something long-term within dog care.
