Job Overview

We are seeking energetic and reliable Dog Walkers and Pet Sitters to join our vibrant team in South Charlotte. In this role, you will provide exceptional care, exercise, and companionship to dogs and other pets, ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care for dogs, cats, and small pets
• Walk dogs of various sizes and temperaments, following specific care instructions to ensure safe and enjoyable outings
• Provide pet sitting services, including feeding, administering medication, and engaging pets in stimulating activities
• Complete multiple scheduled visits daily with strict punctuality
• Handle animals with confidence, employing proper restraint techniques when necessary to ensure safety for both pets and handlers
• Perform basic pet grooming tasks such as brushing or cleaning up after pets during visits
• Maintain detailed logs of pet behaviors, activities, and any health concerns observed during visits
• Assist with training sessions or reinforcing commands for dogs in your care
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during visits
• Represent Queen City Pet Sitting professionally at all times

Skills

• Strong animal handling skills with the ability to manage dogs of all temperaments and sizes confidently
• Experience with dog training techniques to promote good behavior during walks and visits
• Pet sitting experience that demonstrates reliability, trustworthiness, and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for supplies or equipment related to pet care
• Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with pet owners and team members

Requirements

You must meet ALL of the following:

• Available Monday through Friday - ALL 5 days are a must
• Available midday (11am-2pm) and/or morning (7am-11am) + evening (5pm-8pm)
• Live within 1 mile of our Charlotte services areas (zip codes listed below)
• Have reliable transportation and a smartphone
• Be highly reliable, punctual, and responsive at all times
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication before, during, and after visits
• Our clients rely on us daily. Reliability is non-negotiable.

• You cannot commit to set weekday availability
• You are not comfortable managing multiple scheduled visits per day
• You are unreliable, frequently late, or slow to respond to phone calls, texts, and/or emails and other messages
