Dog Walker/Pet Sitter (aka a furry friend's Adventure Buddy!)

We are looking for pet-sitters/dog walkers (aka a furry friend's Adventure Buddy!) who LIVE in the following area:

***Northern Lakeville, Southern Burnsville, Eagan or Apple Valley (Please do NOT apply if you don't live in one of these areas)

What You’ll Do:

• Spend your days walking dogs, feeding furry companions, and playing with pets in their homes.
• Write thoughtful and fun journal updates for pet parents after each visit.
• Care for pets of all kinds (mostly dogs, cats and pocket pets)!
• Stay on the go, working outdoors in all weather (yes, even snowy days!).

What We’re Looking For in You:

• Someone who loves being active and enjoys spending time outside.
• A pet lover who stays calm under pressure and can handle unexpected situations (like a key not working or a puddle mishap--but don't worry--we will teach you exactly how to handle situations like that so you manage it like a pro!).
• Reliable and independent—you’ll work mostly unsupervised and keep to schedules.
• Great at communication, with a knack for adding a personal touch to client journals.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Able to fit in a few pet visits most weekends and holidays (all-day availability not necessary!)
• Lives within 10 miles of the Minnesota Zoo
• Strong self-management skills
• Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) as needed for pet care tasks

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
