Donor Relations Coordinator

Reporting to the Foundation President, the Donor Relations Coordinator is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with donors, ensuring effective stewardship and communication throughout their engagement with the Foundation. This position manages the donor database (Raiser’s Edge), tracking and recording gifts and pledges from individuals, corporations, and foundations in a timely and accurate manner. The Coordinator generates acknowledgment letters, pledge reminders, and ensures appropriate follow-up for memorial and tribute gifts. Additionally, this role involves coordinating fundraising campaigns, managing donor solicitations, and providing support for fundraising events such as the annual Golf Tournament. The Donor Relations Coordinator also handles donor inquiries, prepares reports on donations, and works closely with the Foundation team to enhance donor engagement and retention, all while maintaining the highest standards of donor care.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelor's degree in related field desired.

2. Two (2) years of experience in fundraising or a similar field required

3. One (1) year of experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred.

4. Knowledge of constituent databases, wealth screening and direct mail best practices.

5. Two (2) years of experience with fundraising events, donor stewardship events

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
1. Valid CA driver's license and auto insurance required for field work.
