Drafter/Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using industry-standard CAD software. This role involves collaborating with engineering and construction teams to develop accurate designs that meet project specifications. The Drafter/Designer will play a vital part in translating conceptual ideas into detailed plans, supporting various phases of design and construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, and SolidWorks.
• Create accurate civil and mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare construction documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to refine design concepts and resolve technical issues.
• Assist in the development of construction documentation and specifications.
• Utilize 2D animation tools for visual presentations when necessary.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project deadlines.
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation for easy access and updates.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, SketchUp, NavisWorks, or SolidWorks.
• Strong background in civil or mechanical design and drafting.
• Ability to interpret engineering schematics and technical drawings accurately.
• Knowledge of construction processes and standards is preferred.
• Familiarity with 2D animation tools is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant educational background in drafting, engineering technology, or related fields is preferred. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
