Draftsman

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for landscaping, infrastructure, and construction works, including grading, drainage, utilities, hardscape, and softscape layouts.
• Develop detailed working drawings, sections, elevations, shop drawings, and as-built drawings from conceptual designs.
• Review IFC drawings and prepare corresponding X-references based on verified project scope.
• Produce comprehensive shop drawings with all necessary technical details.
• Coordinate with engineers, landscape architects, QC teams, and site staff to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
• Interpret survey data, topographical maps, and site layouts for precise drafting.
• Maintain drawing registers, ensuring proper version control and documentation.
• Identify and report discrepancies between IFC drawings, BOQ, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) to resolve design issues.
• Support tender, construction, and procurement teams with accurate drawings and quantity take-offs.
• Prepare site layout drawings for survey teams, including coordinate points.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to verify conditions and validate as-built quantities.
• Develop as-built drawings based on verified site data.
• Assist in preparing visual presentations and conceptual renderings.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and project specifications.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver drawings within deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Civil 3D
• Experience with 3Ds Max, V-Ray, and Photoshop is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of grading, irrigation systems, paving, and utility layouts
• Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in MS Office

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman in landscaping, infrastructure, or construction projects
