DRAFTSMAN-AUTOCAD

Job Summary

The Draftsman will prepare technical drawings, shop drawings, and detailed project documentation using AutoCAD. The role requires strong understanding of construction drawings, measurements, detailing, and coordination with engineers and site teams.

Key Responsibilities1. Preparation of Drawings

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details.
• Develop shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings.
• Modify/revise drawings based on engineer/consultant feedback.

2. Site Measurement & Coordination

• Conduct site visits to take measurements and verify dimensions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.

3. Documentation & Submission

• Prepare drawings as per company/consultant standards.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings for approval.
• Maintain drawing logs and proper document control.

4. Technical Accuracy & Standards

• Ensure accuracy in dimensions, levels, scaling, and detailing.
• Follow drafting standards, layering conventions, and project specifications.
• Understand civil/architectural/MEP drawings (depending on trade).

5. Support to Engineering Team

• Assist in preparing BOQs, material take-offs, and quantity estimations.
• Provide drawing support during project execution and installation stages.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (mandatory).
• Knowledge of architectural, civil, or MEP layouts (as required).
• Good understanding of construction materials and detailing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Basic knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or 3D software (optional but beneficial).

Preferred Experience

• Working with contractors, consultants, engineering firms, or construction companies.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building projects.

Pay: Up to BD250.000 per month
