Drain Technician

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, fixtures, and sewer lines
• Install, maintain, and replace plumbing components in compliance with local codes and safety standards
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers in a professional manner
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and build long-term trust
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Accurately document work performed, including service reports and job details

During Training:

• $20.00–$23.00 per hour (based on experience)

After Training:

• $15.00–$17.00 per hour, plus commission

Commission:

• 20%–24% of service volume (after parts), based on experience and performance

Estimated Annual Earnings:

• Entry / lower production: ~$50,000–$70,000
• Average performance: ~$70,000–$100,000
• High performers: $100,000+ annually
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional plumbing experience preferred, including residential, commercial, or service-based work.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to efficiently identify and resolve plumbing issues.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally to customers.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding job duties on a regular basis.
• Proficient in the use of plumbing tools, equipment, and safety procedures, including drain cleaning equipment, water heaters, piping systems, and related service tools.
