Draughtman/ Design Engineer – Fire protection System

Seeking a skilled Draughtsman/Design Engineer – Fire Protection System to prepare detailed technical drawings and designs for fire protection systems across projects in Dubai. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and site teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed design and shop drawings for fire protection systems including firefighting system, fire alarm system, voice evacuation system, emergency light system, smoke management system and LPG system.

• Develop coordinated drawings aligned with architectural, structural, and MEP layouts.

• Review and revise drawings based on consultant and client comments.

• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, local authority codes, and international standards.

• Prepare as-built drawings and final documentation upon project completion.

• Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to resolve design or coordination issues.

• Verify layouts, dimensions, and technical details before submission.

• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and technical records.

Requirements:

• Diploma, Bachelor’s, or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection, or related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in fire protection system design and drafting.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Strong understanding of fire protection system components, layouts, and standards.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications, codes, and project drawings.

• Good coordination, communication, and documentation skills.

• GCC/UAE project experience required.
