Job Title: Draughtsman – Bridges

Location: Abu, Dhabi

Type: Permanent, Fulltime

Role Overview:

We are looking for Draughtsman – Bridges with hands-on experience in infrastructure projects involving bridges and tunnels. The role focuses on preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate construction drawings to support site execution, coordination, and authority approvals.

This is a support-critical role requiring strong drafting accuracy, coordination with engineers, and the ability to work in fast-paced infrastructure project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting & Drawing Management

Prepare and update shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings for:

Bridge substructure and superstructure

Piers, abutments, decks, and retaining structures

Temporary works and staging drawings (as instructed)

Modify drawings based on site conditions, RFIs, and engineer instructions

Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and design standards

Coordination & Site Support

Coordinate with Senior / Technical Engineers to incorporate design changes and technical clarifications

Support site teams with accurate and timely drawings

Assist in resolving drawing clashes and coordination issues

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain proper drawing registers, revisions, and approvals tracking

Ensure drawings follow project CAD standards and naming conventions

Support preparation of as-built documentation and handover drawings

Mandatory Requirements

Education

Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Civil Drafting or related discipline.

Experience:

2–5 years of experience as a Draughtsman in construction projects

Proven experience working on bridge and tunnel infrastructure projects

Experience working with main contractors is preferred

UAE or GCC experience is an advantage

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory)

Ability to read and understand:

Structural drawings

Construction details

Basic specifications

Knowledge of drafting standards related to infrastructure works

Behavioral & Professional Competencies

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work under deadlines and pressure

Good coordination and communication skills

Willingness to support site teams as required
