Driver Manager/Fleet Dispatcher

Amhof Trucking, Inc., specializes in serving the manufacturing, machinery, and machinery-related, agricultural and general commodities for all industries. As a general commodities carrier, we haul a variety of freight including aluminum and metal products, building materials, plastics, machinery, oversize commodities and much more.

We are currently looking for an addition to our Dispatch team. The candidate must have general knowledge of the transportation industry, D.O.T. regulations and over the road operations. Good computer skills, telephone and customer service skills required. Experience in the transportation industry helpful, pay based on experience. This position works with all departments throughout the company including Maintenance, Safety, and Administration to guarantee an effective and smooth relationship between drivers, customers, and office personnel.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Communications with drivers, dispatch, planning, safety, maintenance, and admin via phone and email.
• Routing and planning drivers and equipment.
• Monitoring driver compliance regulations and planning accordingly to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Providing excellent customer service to ensure all loads delivery safely and on time.
• Assisting drivers with any issues encountered.
• Help other driver managers.

Desired SkillsExperience:

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR 4-5 years of experience in dispatch or fleet management
• Microsoft Office experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking
• TMS (Tom McLeod Software)Samsara Software Experience Preferred

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
