Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant F&O

About the role

As a Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Functional Consultant, you will work with clients to understand their business requirements and provide guidance on how best to utilize the Dynamics 365 platform to achieve their goals. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations solutions that meet the client’s business needs while adhering to industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirement workshops, documentation, fit-gap analysis, and process improvement recommendations
• Design & configure D365 F&O modules: GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Taxation, Consolidation, Intercompany, MR (Financial Reporting), Banking, Inventory, Sales & Purchase Orders, Cash & Bank Management
• Handle multi-company financial consolidation in AX/D365
• Create FDDs, functional specs, and collaborate with technical teams for integrations & customizations
• Support data migration from legacy systems and integrate AX/D365 with external platforms
• Guide clients through UAT, training, troubleshooting, and go-live support
• Support drafting SOWs, estimation, and consulting deliverables

Requirements

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Dynamics AX / D365 F&O (full lifecycle implementations)
• Strong understanding of Finance & Accounting principles
• Ability to articulate architectural differences, integration approaches, and cross-platform frameworks
• Ability to shift between high-level solution design and hands-on configuration
• Experience with full application lifecycle methodologies
• Excellent consulting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Knowledge of Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft ecosystem is a plus
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications in F&O or SCM preferred
