About the job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Sales & Marketing department, The E-Commerce Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the digital marketing strategies to increase online presence and improve marketing and sales efforts of the hotel and other revenue streams. He/ she is also responsible for online content management, seeking online marketing opportunities and managing the company´s website and web traffic. This person works closely with the commercial team, revenue, food & beverage, spa, rooms to develop and execute the digital and commercial activities. The E-Commerce Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and communications / Director of Commercial Strategy.

As an E-Commerce Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Enhance the hotel’s marketing and sales efforts via all e-commerce opportunities
  • Increase the digital marketing engagement of the hotel and to meet the key performance indicators (KPIs) set by the corporate team and owners
  • Ensure compliance with the corporate identity guidelines on the MO.com website
  • Be the guardian of the hotel's digital media platforms
  • Propose and develop digital media campaign (for brand building and for tactical offers) to help achieve digital media exposure and to drive the revenue
  • Strategies and execute the 360 digital marketing campaigns to promote the various revenue streams of the hotel
  • Manage the lead the digital marketing execution with the appointed agencies
  • Coordinate direct marketing with business partners
  • Promote marketing channels, including GDS and MO reservations
  • Market research & evaluate the online presence, including search engine optimization, partners, links, online promotions and premium partners’ website updates
  • Monitor the hotel’s online presence on travel portals such as Expedia, Booking.com, and TripAdvisor and ensure regular updates are done.
  • Explore the digital marketing opportunities through the online partners including Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor.
  • Strategize and produce the digital assets for the performance marketing campaigns in line with the brand and creative guidelines
  • Introduce the various digital marketing ecommerce related tools and platforms for improving the productivity and efficiency.
  • Regular reporting and assistance with the marketing plans and strategies to drive the results
  • Working closely with the MOHG branding and digital team to execute the various projects in line with the brand guidelines.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining and managing annual marketing budget and expenses, related to the digital marketing and ecommerce.

As an E-Commerce Manager, we expect from you:

  • Degree holder in Marketing or eCommerce Management or related discipline
  • At least 10 years solid experience in similar capacity, preferably in luxury hospitality field
  • Excellent communications skills, articulate and compelling communication style
  • Ability to write clearly in a variety of communication settings and styles, appropriate to relevant audiences
  • Creative and strategic skills to plan and executive the digital content creation and execution
  • Proven track record with project management skills
  • Capable of creative thinking, working with flair and imagination
  • Excellent analytical and strategic leadership skills to lead the digital marketing opportunities for the hotel
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and adapt to the needs of the commercial team.
  • Better understanding of the hospitality industry and the commercial opportunities to drive total revenue management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
