Role Overview

We are looking for an E-commerce Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize our online shopping platform. This role requires a professional with expertise in web technologies, system integration, and e-commerce architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring platform reliability, enhancing user experience, and supporting Shop Zawy’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable e-commerce platforms.
• Integrate payment gateways, logistics systems, and third-party APIs.
• Ensure platform security, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Monitor KPIs, system performance, and user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement proactive solutions.
• Stay updated with emerging e-commerce technologies and apply them to projects.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in web development or e-commerce platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Java).
• Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Node.js.
• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, MongoDB) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with e-commerce systems (Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: Up to QAR26,000.00 per month
