Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Specialist to join our team. The E-commerce Specialist will oversee all aspects of the Dustless Blasting online store, operating it as an independent profit center within MMLJ. You are the face of Dustless Blasting in an online presence and including in person. Ideal day to day involves central focus on driving sales with customer interaction while implementing and improving store performance and metrics. This role is responsible for maintaining the online store website, ensuring product data accuracy, managing pricing to protect margins, coordinating with procurement and shipping, and delivering a smooth, profitable, and customer-focused online sales experience.The E-commerce Specialist wil be the primary point of contact for all online store operations and performance.
Responsibilities
Website & Content Management
- Maintain and update the Dustless Blasting online store website, including product pages, descriptions, pricing, and promotional content.
- Implement design and functionality updates in line with brand guidelines and user-experience best practices.
- Upload and manage product images, videos, technical documents, and marketing materials.
- Optimize product listings for search visibility (SEO) and conversion rate improvemen
Inventory & Order Coordination
- Request inventory transfers from the main warehouse to the online store's fulfillment location a s needed.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Coordinate closely with the Shipping Manager to ensure on-time and accurate order fulfillment.
- Track and resolve order discrepancies, delays, or fulfillment issues.
Pricing & Margin Management
- Work with the Procurement Manager to ensure product costs are monitored and up to date.
- Adjust online store pricing to maintain predetermined gross margin targets.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to remain competitive without sacrificing profitability.
Customer Experience & Service
- Monitor online customer inquiries, reviews, and feedback, ensuring timely responses and resolutions.
- Identify and address customer experience pain points to improve retention and satisfaction.
Marketing & Sales Optimization
- Collaborate with internal or external marketing teams to plan and execute online promotions, seasonal sales, and special offers.
- Implement product cross-selling, upselling, and bundling strategies to increase average order value.
- Monitor and improve store conversion rates using analytics tools.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on key e-commerce metrics, including sales performance, traffic, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and return on ad spend.
- Prepare monthly performance summarie sand recommend improvement actions.
Compliance & Payment Security
- Ensure the online store complies with applicable sales tax rules (coordinate with accounting and Avalara).
- Maintain secure payment processing standards and compliance with PCI DSS.
Continuous Improvement
- Research and recommend new tools, apps, or integrations to improve the store's functionality and profitability.
- Stay updated on e-commerce trends, platforms, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of e-commerce operations or online store management experience (Shopify preferred).
- Strong skills in website content management, pricing strategy, and product merchandising.
- Proficiency with online analytics tools (Google Analytics, Shopify reports, etc.). Experience with SEO and basic digital marketing tactics.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with procurement, shipping, marketing, and finance teams.
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on profitability and customer satisfaction.
Performance Metrics:
- Online store gross margin percentage maintained or improved.
- Order fulfillment timeliness and accuracy.
- Online store revenue growth year-over-year.
- Conversion rate and customer satisfaction score improvements.
