Job Overview:
The E-Commerce Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the online store's day-to-day operations, strategy, and performance. This includes driving sales growth, managing digital marketing strategies, enhancing customer experience, optimizing product listings, and ensuring smooth operations for e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and data analysis to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • E-Commerce Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive e-commerce strategy to drive online sales and improve profitability.
  • Set and achieve sales targets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Identify and evaluate new e-commerce opportunities and market trends to expand the business.
  • Website and Online Store Management:
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the company's e-commerce website or platform (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
  • Ensure a seamless user experience (UX) across all devices, from desktop to mobile.
  • Coordinate with IT, design, and development teams to implement site changes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure functionality.
  • Product Listing and Catalog Management:
  • Ensure that all products are accurately listed with compelling descriptions, images, and pricing.
  • Manage product inventory and track product performance (stock levels, pricing, etc.).
  • Update product listings regularly, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Digital Marketing and SEO:
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns, including paid advertising (Google Ads, Facebook Ads), email marketing, and social media promotions.
  • Develop SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
  • Analyze digital marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies for better ROI.
  • Customer Experience and Engagement:
  • Ensure a smooth and positive customer experience from browsing to checkout and delivery.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and manage customer retention programs like loyalty rewards or email campaigns.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, traffic, average order value (AOV), cart abandonment, etc.
  • Use tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, or other e-commerce platforms to track website and sales performance.
  • Prepare regular reports for upper management to highlight sales trends, areas for improvement, and future opportunities.
  • Team Management and Collaboration:
  • Manage the e-commerce team, including product content, customer service, and other relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, IT, marketing) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and operational efficiency.
  • Stay informed about the latest e-commerce trends, tools, and best practices to keep the company ahead of the competition.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Digital Marketing, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of [2-4] years of experience in e-commerce management or a related role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in using e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing tools (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, email marketing platforms).
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Experience with inventory management and order fulfillment systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze sales data and translate it into actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve e-commerce-related issues quickly.
