Responsibilities

  • Implement age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children
  • Facilitate engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and early intervention strategies
  • Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive learning environment while maintaining effective classroom management practices
  • Support children with special needs by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists to meet individual development goals
  • Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on their child’s growth and behavior management strategies
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized childcare setting aligned with licensing standards and best practices in early childhood education

Skills

  • experience in classroom management and lesson planning within early childhood settings
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored to preschoolers and toddlers, including Montessori methods when applicable
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists
  • Familiarity with childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and daycare regulations
  • Experience with preschool activities such as teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and tutoring for foundational skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for different age groups including toddlers care and preschool experience
