Early/Head Start Corona Center Based- Family Service Coordinator

Summary

The Family Service Coordinator is responsible for monitoring ERSEA (Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment, Attendance) practices and coordinating family services across sites including the promotion of family wellness, building community partnerships and operating as a liaison between programs, classrooms and home settings in the areas of family engagement, child development and mental health services.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform the functions of this position with a strong understanding of the Head Start Program Performance Standards in addition to local, state and other federal guidelines;
  • Supervise and provide support to family service staff at sites;
  • Monitor compliance using data management systems including PROMIS, WES, Pre-Kids;
  • Monitor the development and progress of Family Engagement Goal Setting;
  • Develop system of creating and submitting reports to management team that provide information related to ERSEA, family goal setting, services provided and any other information that may be requested;
  • Assist with coordination and facilitation of parent and staff workshops;
  • Advocate and collaborate with community agencies to support child, family and agency outcomes
  • Coordinate and facilitate Health Advisory Committee meetings in accordance with Head Start guidelines
  • Monitor and collect data for funding streams, monthly reports and annual PIR.
  • Perform other duties, as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field plus 5 years' experience working in Human Services, Psychology or related field that includes course work in principles of social work, child development, counseling and/or psychology;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products;
  • Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently;
  • Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and to multi-task;
  • Willingness and skills to deal with sensitive family situations in a non-threatening and professional manner;
  • Will support families that predominantly speak Spanish or Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs.
