About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and detail-oriented E-Commerce SEO Specialist to grow organic visibility, search rankings, and revenue across our online stores. You will be responsible for full-spectrum SEO—technical, on-page, off-page, and content optimisation—designed specifically to drive keyword rankings, organic traffic, and conversions for our FMCG product range.
This role is perfect for someone who understands how SEO works for DTC brands, food categories, and high-volume product listings, and who can turn insights into real revenue impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Page SEO & E-Commerce Optimization
- Optimise product pages, collection/category pages, and landing pages for high-intent keywords.
- Conduct SEO audits and improve metadata, titles, descriptions, alt text, schema markup, and internal linking.
- Plan and execute keyword targeting for new SKUs, flavour drops, bundle pages, and seasonal landing pages.
- Improve click-through rates (CTR) through strategic copy and metadata testing.
Technical SEO
- Perform regular technical audits (crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals).
- Ensure the website is optimised for speed, mobile usability, and clean URL structures.
- Monitor and fix issues in Google Search Console (coverage, structured data errors, indexing).
- Work with developers to implement schema, redirects, and performance enhancements.
Content Strategy & Growth
- Create SEO-driven content frameworks for blogs, recipes, guides, and category education pages.
- Develop content clusters that strengthen topical authority for snacks, protein products, healthy foods, sparkling beverages, etc.
- Conduct competitor analysis to identify keyword gaps and ranking opportunities.
- Collaborate with the creative and content teams to produce high-quality, keyword-rich content.
Off-Page SEO & Authority Building
- Build high-authority backlinks through outreach, partnerships, PR features, and content syndication.
- Monitor backlink health and disavow toxic links when required.
- Identify opportunities for brand listings on directories, review sites, and niche platforms.
Analytics & Reporting
- Track and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and revenue impact.
- Build monthly SEO dashboards with performance insights and action items.
- Use GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs/Semrush to analyse performance and identify quick wins.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of SEO experience, ideally in e-commerce or FMCG/DTC brands.
- Strong knowledge of technical SEO, keyword research, content optimisation, and link building.
- Hands-on experience with tools like GA4, Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog.
- Familiarity with Shopify SEO (preferred) or similar CMS platforms.
- Understanding of conversion-focused SEO and how organic traffic impacts revenue.
- Strong writing/editing skills for metadata and content optimisation.
- Ability to analyse data deeply and communicate insights clearly.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in food/beverage category SEO.
- Knowledge of Amazon SEO (A+ content, keyword indexing).
- Experience with CRO (conversion rate optimisation) to improve organic conversions.
- Understanding of structured data for e-commerce (Product, FAQ, Breadcrumb schema).
