Education Sector Accountant

Astral Studio GT is a growing organization supporting educational and creative initiatives with a strong focus on financial discipline, transparency, and operational excellence. As we expand our footprint in Qatar’s education sector, we are seeking a detail-oriented Education Sector Accountant to join our finance team in Al Khor.

Position Overview
The Education Sector Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial operations related to educational programs, institutional funding, and service delivery. This role requires strong accounting expertise combined with an understanding of education-sector financial structures and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting records for educational programs, projects, and institutional budgets
• Track and reconcile tuition fees, grants, and funding allocations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Monitor expenditures and ensure proper budget utilization across departments
• Support budgeting and forecasting for education-related initiatives
• Ensure accurate recording of revenue and expense transactions
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies
• Coordinate with academic and administrative teams on financial matters
• Support audits by preparing required documentation and financial reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the education sector
• Strong understanding of budgeting, fund tracking, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines effectively
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Experience with grant or institutional funding is an advantage
