Position: EHS Safety Manager (Ratified Safety Officer)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Safety Manager (Ratified Safety Officer) to oversee and manage all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations at the project site. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with statutory safety standards, promote a culture of safety awareness, and implement best practices to minimize workplace hazards and risks.

This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication in Telugu, and the ability to manage EHS programs effectively across multiple site activities.

Key Responsibilities1. Safety Oversight & Hazard Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate all project hazards to the site manager or site in-charge.
  • Implement preventive and corrective measures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor compliance with all EHS policies, statutory regulations, and company standards.

2. EHS Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents, near-misses, and site EHS statistics.
  • Submit timely reports and analysis to management and relevant authorities.
  • Track and evaluate EHS performance indicators for continuous improvement.

3. Awareness & Training

  • Conduct regular toolbox talks, safety training sessions, and awareness programs for all employees and contractors.
  • Create and promote a culture of safety consciousness and environmental protection across the project site.
  • Support site engineers in planning and executing daily safety briefings.

4. Audits & Compliance

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct HSE audits in collaboration with the site EHS committee members.
  • Ensure adherence to all ISO, OSHA, and Factory Act requirements.
  • Maintain and update ISO-related documentation and compliance records.

5. Incident Investigation & Corrective Action

  • Lead or assist in incident and accident investigations, ensuring detailed reporting and root cause analysis.
  • Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma in Industrial Safety from an institution ratified as per Factory Act guidelines (mandatory).
  • 7+ years of proven experience in EHS management within construction, manufacturing, or industrial project sites.
  • Thorough understanding of EHS standards, regulations, and safety management systems.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and maintain EHS documentation and ISO compliance records.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills — Telugu proficiency is compulsory.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to drive safety initiatives and influence site behavior.
  • Sound knowledge of accident investigation techniques, risk assessment, and audit processes.
