Electrical Automation Draughtsman

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Preparation of Automation Drawings

• Prepare detailed CAD drawings for:
• Smart lighting control systems
• KNX / DALI / Zigbee / Lutron systems
• Home automation control panels
• ELV and low current layouts
• Develop wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for automation systems.

2. Shop Drawings & As-Built Drawings

• Prepare shop drawings based on approved design concepts.
• Update drawings as per site modifications.
• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

3. Panel & Control Layouts

• Draft control panel GA drawings and internal wiring layouts.
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD) and termination drawings.
• Ensure panel space planning and cable routing clarity.

4. Coordination Drawings

• Coordinate automation drawings with:
• Electrical power layouts
• Lighting layouts
• HVAC control systems
• CCTV & security systems
• Participate in BIM coordination (if applicable).

5. Load Schedules & Device Mapping

• Prepare device schedules and control point mapping.
• Create switch plate layouts and automation zoning plans.
• Coordinate sensor placement (motion, temperature, etc.).

6. Site Coordination Support

• Provide technical drawing support to project engineers.
• Revise drawings based on consultant and client comments.
• Assist site team with clarification drawings when required.

7. Authority & Compliance

• Ensure drawings comply with local authority standards (DEWA / Municipality where applicable).
• Follow company drafting standards and documentation procedures.

8. Documentation & Version Control

• Maintain drawing registers and revision logs.
• Ensure latest revisions are issued to site teams.
• Archive final approved drawings systematically.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–8 years of drafting experience (home automation / ELV preferred).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of smart home systems (KNX, DALI, Lutron, etc.).
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and control wiring.
• Familiarity with lighting control logic and automation architecture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
